More Than a Goodie Bag

Mitzvah favors have come a long way from those Jordan almonds. The best favor programs we design today are a seamless extension of the event's visual identity — wearables guests actually put on at the party, keepsakes they hold onto for years, tabletop pieces that coordinate with the invitation and décor down to the font and color. A favor that feels like it belongs to the event is infinitely more memorable than one that feels like an afterthought. This guide covers everything you need to know about planning, designing, and ordering Mitzvah favors and swag — from what's available to how it all coordinates to timing and minimums.

What Makes a Great Mitzvah Favor?

The best Mitzvah favors share three qualities: they're useful, they're personal, and they feel like they belong to this specific event. A hoodie with a generic graphic is a hoodie. A hoodie with your child's custom graffiti logo in the exact colors of their invitation suite is a keepsake. The difference is entirely in the design and the quality of the garment. At Sarah Schwartz Co., every favor item we produce is custom-designed using the same visual language as everything else you've ordered — your logo, your colors, your design elements. There are no generic templates, no stock graphics, no 'close enough.' What goes on the favor is as considered as what goes on the invitation.

The Full Range: What We Offer

Wearables
Hoodies, zip-ups, crewnecks, flannels, tees, jerseys, aprons, blankets, ball caps, bucket hats, and SnuggieSox. Wearables are consistently our most popular favor category — guests of all ages love them, they're immediately usable at the party itself, and they travel home and get worn for years afterward. A dancefloor full of guests in matching hoodies is one of the most visually stunning Mitzvah moments.

Accessories
Practical, portable, and endlessly customizable. A cinchpack in the event colors with the Bar Mitzvah's logo is the kind of favor that gets used every day long after the party is over. Totes, cinchpacks, water bottles, decks of cards, and more.

Tabletop and Party Items
These items do double duty — they're both décor elements during the event and favors guests take home. Cocktail napkins, kippot, favor boxes, wrappers, stickers, and tags. Kippot in the exact colors of the invitation suite. Cocktail napkins foil-stamped with the event monogram. Favor boxes that look like they were designed by the same hand as the invitation — because they were.

Kippot: A Special Note
Kippot are one of our most frequently ordered items and one of the most visible at any Mitzvah. We offer silk, satin, and suede kippot, custom printed with your child's name and Mitzvah date. Hebrew is always an option at no extra charge. Minimums start at 100 pieces.

Printing Options: What's the Difference?

Standard Print
Clean, flat, precise. The most versatile option and appropriate for the vast majority of designs and fabrics.

Puff Print
A raised, three-dimensional finish that adds texture and tactility to wearable designs. Particularly effective for bold logos and graphic lettering.

Glitter Print
Adds sparkle to any design element. Especially popular for Bat Mitzvah orders and for designs incorporating star or light motifs.

Foil Print
A metallic finish that gives wearables a premium, elevated look. Coordinates beautifully with foil-stamped invitation suites for a fully unified event aesthetic.

Not every printing option is available on every item. Just ask us if you're not sure what would look best on a specific product — we've seen every combination and we'll tell you what works.

How Favors Coordinate With Everything Else

This is where working with a single studio for multiple product categories makes a meaningful difference. When your invitation, your swag, your décor, and your kippot are all designed by the same team from the same visual brief, they don't just match — they feel inevitable. Like they could only ever have looked exactly this way.

We don't repeat one logo identically across every item. We create a suite of coordinated design elements that flex appropriately for each application. What works at 48 inches on a dancefloor needs different weight and detail than what goes on the front of a hoodie. Same visual DNA, expressed at every scale. The result is a cohesive event aesthetic that guests appreciate.

Minimums and Timing

Minimums
Kippot and cocktail napkins start at 100 pieces. Most other favor items start at 50 pieces. Our overall minimum order value is $1,000. Favor items can be ordered without an invitation package — a combination of items typically reaches the minimum easily.

Timing
We recommend having your favor order placed at least 12 weeks before your event. Rush production is available in many cases — call to discuss your specific timeline.

Pricing
All favor pricing is available at sarahschwartz.com/pricelist. Every item is priced individually — you pay for what you order, nothing more. Where packages exist, they reflect genuine savings over individual list pricing.
